Brent Ashcraft

Auxiliary Services Business Officer

Brent Ashcraft was born in Rexburg as the second of nine children. He enjoyed his boyhood years playing in Smith Park across the street from his home until he was 11 when his family moved from the city to the farm. As a country boy, he quickly discovered that running helped him get his work done sooner which left more time for play. He has been running ever since, and still prefers a dirt trail.

Brent earned an associate degree in consumer electronics from Ricks College and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from BYU. While at Ricks, he ate a lot of ice cream in the Manwaring Center in an effort to get the attention of a cute girl who worked there. These efforts paid off and Brent and Teri were married in the Idaho Falls temple and are the parents of three children.

Brent served in the Sweden Goteborg Mission as well as a variety of other church callings. He is currently the elder's quorum president in his home ward.

In 1 Corinthians 9:24 Paul encourages us to run, that we may obtain.  In Colossians 3:23 he adds "Whatsover ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men"

What does it mean to you to run heartily, as to the Lord? Share a thought or experience you have had with this.
