Hyrum Conrad

Theatre & Dance Faculty Member

Hyrum Conrad was born in Salt Lake City and raised all over the western United States. After graduating from Huntington Beach High School in California, he was educated in theatre arts at BYU and the University of Minnesota. It was in Minneapolis that he met his amazing and talented wife, Terry, when she auditioned for a musical play he was directing at the Institute of Religion. They have been married for 42 years and are the parents of four fabulous people and have seven awesome, delightful, giggling grandchildren.

Before coming to BYU-Idaho, Hyrum taught at St. Cloud State University and Virginia Commonwealth University.  He has served as a young men president, elders quorum president, ward executive secretary (twice), high councilor (three times), and gospel doctrine teacher (ten times).

Hyrum  loves to travel and emphatically agrees with his daughter-in-law that "Paris is always a good idea."
