Academic Vice President

Brother Fenton L. Broadhead grew up in Nephi, Utah.  He attended Brigham Young University earning a bachelor's degree in economics and master's degree in educational administration.  He holds a doctorate degree in educational leadership with a cognate in economics from the University of Idaho.

For sixteen years, Brother Broadhead taught economics and government, and coached in the public school system.  He has owned and operated businesses in agriculture, real estate, and fuel distribution.

Brother Broadhead came to Ricks College in 1987 serving two years in the Dean of Students Office and teaching in the Economics department for 21 years.  He was named as the dean of the College of Business and Communication on January 1, 2002.  In March of 2008, Brother Broadhead began serving as Academic Vice President at BYU-Idaho. 

Brother Broadhead has served in various positions at the state and local level in Utah and Idaho.  He has held numerous church callings including bishop, stake president, and mission president of the Brazil Sao Paulo North Mission.  He is currently serving as a temple sealer and Young Single Adult Stake Patriarch.

He and his wife, Carol, are the parents of six children and thirteen grandchildren.
